Just scored a mint NIB Royal Crusher  . Tamiya ? No. Must Have ? Yes ! Photos taken from auction. Always wanted one, I'm beginning to find more & more interest in other classic MT's such as the Big Brute & Big Bear as well. I remember them all from "back in the day".

Great find. I also scored one off of E-bay awhile back. Pretty cool trucks. I have since made a runner, with the 4wd conversion. Pretty fun..

I am trying to round up some of the older trucks to make a video. Next is a Varicom Big Grizzly.

Nice - I remember not wanting one of these as a kid :o , but a nice piece of history none-the-less.

Interesting box art too; Looks like someone at Royal was a Thunderbird fan!

last time i went abroad was Cyprus, and I found a model shop with some NIB Royal Crushers and a few others. I REALLY wanted the Crusher but didn't have enough money for it. Gutted!!!

Oh yeah - the grizzly is sweet ! There is one nib available on Ebay but it's overpriced (in my opinion) by a few dollars. But, if I had the extra cash I'd snag it <_<.

A video would be great if it was the Kyosho Big Brute, The MRP High Roller, The Marui Big Bear, The Royal Crusher, & the Grizzly ! Of course throw in the Clod, USa-1 & Double Dare too.

Does anyone remember the truck called "Meaner' Mudder?" I seen an add for one in a Car Action mag around 1991. I have no idea who made it.

My grand father gave me his Big brute when I was 15, nice truck, but were they ever weak in the hubs...

I love all these vintage trucks.

Very nice find!

I love how back in the 80s every brand, even the lowly cheaper ones, still went to the effort of having nice box art and blister packed box contents.

It's amazing how boring today's modern R/C kits look, compared to the majority of kits from the 80s. Even a lot of smaller motorized toys (1/18th, 1/24th scale etc) from Japan came in blister pack style kits.

Royal martuka did make some interesting but "weak" cars (ripper) but interestingly there Model RC planes kits where considered to be the best money could buy at one time. Nice find, Dare you to build and run it ;)
