Rc Off-road Clubs In Yorkshire

hi all, im looking for a club somewhere in yorkshire that i join, not to race just so i can use the track on non race days, ive seen a few like robin hood raceway at blyth etc that looked interesting.

Where clubs are a member off and can recommend.

Bury Metro, Batley, York (Robinhood Raceway).

I am not a member of these clubs, but I race on the tracks when a regional or national is held there, and the facilities are great.

Tamiya Monkey I am glad you asked this question as i will soon be wanting to join a club with a race track.

I live in Teesside so i would prefer somewhere close to home but i work in York so a club somewhere around York would do for me.

we have a new club at Biggin [Near Sherburn in Elmet] for 1/8 nitro offroad,maybe Short Course if we can get enough to brave the elements.

There is also another new track being built for largescale off road and everything smaller than that should be fine,electric or petrol,but off road/rally short Corse etc.

We are planning a rock crawling area too.

This new club is being built as soon as the weather gets a bit better,it is just next door to Squires Milk Bar,Leeds side of Sherburn.

For onroad,there is only Halifax and Wombwell.

Google RC car clubs for all over the world,there are more than you might think,good for hooking up some racing whilst on holiday or travelling.

thanks twisty, im gonna look into these for sure, only a quick run up the a1 for me so biggy.

pattinsonchris, the robinhood raceway would be great as its about as close as it can be being around 20 minutes tops away, wasnt sure if you can join to use the track on non race days though, im going to have get in touch them and find out.

Yes,i went over with my Slash a couple of months ago,it`s more or less the same as it`s been for the last 15+ years.

A well mowed field,with some interesting features,jumps,mixed surfaces and a clay corner etc.

The rostrum is ontop of a freight container and good access for pitting/parking etc

Club racing is very relaxed these days,they will cater for 1/10 electric buggys, trucks and Short course.Strictly no nitro or petrol powered models though.

Facilitys and cafe in the sports center.
