As i've read, there is the Reading Bash,

But does anyone know if there are any meetings/clubs in the near area of town in Reading or somewhere not far from there?

Neil,

There are many clubs near and around you, just depends what you are looking at racing.

check out the BRCA web site for clubs, you will however have to be a member of the BRCA to race anywhere (insurance) but it is cheap !
