Ballrace Super Champ

Hello ,

here`s the Problem.

The Ballraces from my 82`Super Champ are worn out, so i bought some new on E_bay in UK.

so far, so good...

Today they have come to hand, what should i say, they unfortunately doesn`t fit, the Hole in the Arm are aproximately ~ 1mm. undersized and the Steel-ball is just to smal.

In the Picture you can see:

1) old Ballrace

2) new Ballrace

3) big Steel-ball that fit in the new Ballrace (just trial)

4) original small Steel-ball that doesn's fit

5) Arm with undersized hole

Where can i get the right Ballraces, any expert problem solving???

Tamiya part 50196 is what you need - the ones you bought are probably for the rerelease kit

The extra rectangle on the parts sprue seems to be the way to tell them apart

The originals, 50196

'Buggy Champ' versions - not extra part on frame

If you are not worried about genuine vintage parts, could you replace 3, 4 and 5 with buggy champ parts?

That way, ballraces would be readily available

I just checked and 4 x #5 and 2 x #4 are £32 - same price as 50196
