O.K. Selfish reason for asking the question. Am looking to buy one or the other. (Time Tunnel and subscription = temptation)[:D]

I really like 4wd and so I currently swaying towards Twin Det. But with all these things, it's best to ask, people who know, as well as people who have either for pos and neg comments on experiences.

Mainly buring round garden, and up in woods (some really nice hills and puddles, as well as loose dirt and sand. (not to mention some very hard trees and logs)

I have the blackfoot xtreme and its great, the only

upgrades I have are bearing, sport tuned motor and

some Imex g-hawg tyres (much more grip than the tamiya

ones). I can get out of most situations and I love the

hard bodies they have!

Depends really how bad the conditions are where you

plan on driving it!

And you can powerslide 2WD in the damp! Very tough chassis and remember that Mighty Bull is the same truck with a marge tub body ready built for less money than a Blackfoot.

This is for you guys with the Blackfoot because I just finished building mine.....do you glue your tires and wheels together? I noticed that during initial hard acceleration, the wheels actually spin inside of the tire, so it's almost like a slipper clutch effect. The manual says not to glue them together, but I don't know why? I would think that glueing them together would alleviate the slippage and give you full acceleration from the start. Just wondering what you guys have seen? Thanks!

I always glue mine! Its a bit more stress on the driveline

but it seems to cope vey well.

If you dont glue them you will barely move in the wet

as they will just slip!!!

I think its on purpose to decrease the stress on the diff and drive shafts. A good compromise with less but some slip is supposed to be to put rubber bands on the wheels where the tires sit.

Cheers

Yep, rubber bands in the rims work well, the manual says in my TD to not glue them, so I thought I would try the rubber band trick. Works well
