Hello

Just needed to know when to use the CM insert as opposed to the BM insert.

I know sorex comes in 3 different types of insert. A to C. A being the thickest and C thinnest. (correct me if I am wrong) And in soft, medium and firm. So the 'M' above is medium hardness.

The tyres I am refering to are the Sorex XG-32CM and Sorex XG-32BM.

I am running a TC, outdoors and on a medium speed asphalt track. Medium length back straight 45-50m, sweeping banked turn, 1 hairpin, another sweeper level this time, 2 hairpins, 1 chicane and a turn and you are back on the start of the straight again.

Cheers

From everything I've heard, Hara inserts are the ones to use when building your own Sorex tire/rim combo. I don't think anybody uses the Sorex brand inserts inside sorex tires unless they have to. Even SpeedworldUSA when to great lengths to replicate the Hara insert on their Sorex/Jaco premounts...

RCTech.net is probably a better place to ask this question as everybody over there has racing experience. I've only used various premounts...

Smells like Aldershot? IMHO inserts are not for the pro. Grip - if thats what your after - is best found by matching the track temp to the tyre compound harder for hotter softer for cooler days.
