That'll improve damping, not stiffness :blink:

If you can't spring for CVA shocks, a ghetto "fix" is to undo the long bolts & fit a few mm of rubber tube to the top end (5mm or so) & refit - this lowers the front, stiffens the springs, and reduces bump steer a little by lessening adverse camber. See pic #6 here and or pic # 7.
