I know the TA03 is an old chssis but can someone help me setting up my car with a brushless system in it. It is ballisticly fast but on our tight track the behind is way to lose. I have fairly hard suspension up front and soft red springs at the back.

You can soften the suspension a little more, but I doubt that the car is going to handle much better. Have you tried tuning the motor/ESC back some?

What size pinion and what motor kV are you using? Are you using LiPo? If yes 2S or 3S? Also what kind of tires are you using? Might want to try stickier tires in the rear.

I run a normal 12t tamiya bl system and a 2s LiPo, Pinoin is about a 24t I think. I have tuned it down a bit, but comparing it to the other cars in the 4WD gr class I am very fast but in the corners it falls apart a bit. What if I move the batt way back also, More weight = more grip?? Its a TA03R allready.

Are there any good compounds out there to put on my tyres for asphalt for increased traction?. Remember I race tamiya cup rules, so only Tamiya type tyres are allowd.

Thansk again.

The 12T Brushless system is indeed a nice combo, but it shouldn't be so hard for the TA03 to handle it. I tried it once in my TA03F, and although it was far from the perfect lines you see the modern tourers take through the corners, it did handle well. Remember that you will never get it to handle as well as the later tourers though, the TA03's suspension might have been a little low-tech already for a competition tourer at the time it was released.

Moving the battery to the back should increase the grip on the rear indeed, but may increase understeer. You could indeed also try some different tires. Tamiya Super Grip tires for example, or some soft(er) type of slick

First of all is the rear coming loose under power or braking? If under power it might be better to gear it a bit lower..maybe 20T pinion. Also turn the punch setting to the softest on the speed control.

Other things you can try:

Move battery back more

Get more sticky tires for rear

Use traction compound on rear

Add sway bars, stiff front, soft rear or bar in front and no rear bar.
