Just thought id post this as a new topic in case people missed it.

I contacted Chris at the SRCC and he came back to me with an encouraging response:

As for the vintage stuff, I am sure the club would be interested in supporting a class, and as long as you can get at least 6 to turn up regularly, there is no reason why they can't have their own heat every weekend to be honest.

So, if anyone is interested in joining. Go along. they race on a Sunday, and the calendar is available on the club site here
