Tamiya Ps-1 White

Hi all.When you spray a lexan with a white body are you best off backing it with another darker colour before you do the windows and lights to prevent any of the smoke grey for the windows showing through the white? or will it be ok just to let the white dry over night then do the PS 31 smoke?

Or would you do a darker backing anyway to make the white pop out a bit more?

I lightly seal it with silver. But I make sure I use all the white I have to make sure the silver doesn't taint it.
