Leopard 1 Tank

hi my father has asked me to ask u guys about this he still has his german leopard 1 tank in full working order and good condition but no box it has metal tracks and metal gear box we think the tamiya item number is 56002 my father said he rougthly brought it in 1990 or 89 he cant rember but we were wondering that if any u guys new anything about them and how rare they are as u guys seem to no loads

Was the cheapest for the 3 tanks available back in the early 90. The King Tiger, AA leopard and leopard (cheapest).

The value really depends on the condition. If you run it once likely parts are missing and the metal track must be put together properly else will come apart. I would say if in good conditions, you may get $200 - $300 for it. Don't take my word for it as it could worth way more or way less and the only way to find out is put it on ebay and let the public decide. Best sell it with pick up only as posting it in the mail will be asking for trouble due to the detailings from the dual antenna, toll hooks, search light, outside mirros, periscope guard, smoke launder, tools etc.
