Tamiya Apint Codes

SORRY TOPIC IS SURPOSSED TO SAY TAMIYA PAINT CODES

ok so i have just brought a rough rider and when it comes in and sand scorcher and a wild willy 2.

can someone please tell me the box art paint codes for the rough rider (the orange /red and the blue)

as my lhs dont stock tamiya paint and could not tell me the codes for them.

know this little problem is holding up the build for me and its really killing me not to build it lol.

TS12 orange

XF1 flat black

XF15 flat flesh

X8 lemon yellow

SS:-

TS10 french blue

XF1 flat black

TS26 pure white

X7/2/6 red/white/orange

X18 semigloss black

umm... if your LHS don't stock Tamiya paints, those codes ain't that helpful...

know is the blue on the side of the rough rider/buggy champ box the same blue as is on the sand scorcher??? as i am leaning towards that colour instead

not sure, i don't think its listed. Ppl just use French Blue or the Light Blue TS i'd think.

you're probably better off going to the car touchup paint rack and see what's available, maybe a Renault or Toyota colour from the 1970s

the guy in my lhs recons that TS23 light blue could be the one also and a can of TS13 clear coat to finish.

Also stumbled accross that. LHS is not stocking Tamiya any more. The guy had a translation matrix towardsother brands...

my main lhs dont stock tamiya but do stock custom colour witch i have always used apart from the paint for my lunchbox and manta ray and topforce and bmw m3

but i do have 2 other hobby shops within 5 mins of each other that does stock tamiya paint but at the mo they dont have a

huge selection like they did before tamiya recalled the paint.

i will have to try them on friday to see what they have
