A New Tamiya Ff01

Recommended Posts

Tamiya has just released the news for the upcoming Shizuoka Hobbyshow 2010 in may on there website.

I did some google translation and came up with, what seems to be, a new front wheel drive chassis FF03.

Please correct me if I am way off with my translation...

But it is looking good ;)

And a M05 Rally Ready chassis, a Wolf WR1 formula 1 car and, and....

Tamiya Shizuoka Hobbyshow 2010

The first one is;

[Provisional] New 1/10 Off Road Buggy 2wd.

Either that or it's an RC Hobbit ? (furodo bagi ~ Frodo Baggins?) ;)

Not sure about the second one.

Remember the Japanese language is basically phonetic. Say it like it's written & listen to the sounds, rather than trying to read & interpret the words your eyes see.

:o NOOOO WAY! ;)

Here is a Google translation Btw... ;)

We can almost assume the [Provisional] New 1/10RC Ofurodobagi 2WD is the TRF 2WD buggy that has seen the flashlight of cameras and appearances on the net lately - An FF-03 would be AWESOME! :) Please Let it be true, I'd love to see Tamiya get back to scale chassis' - although I think we should not expect much more than an M05 with TL01 suspension arms bolted to it :P

This is what I find on google images when looking for the Wolf WR-1:

WolfJody.jpg

I think it will be released on the F103 and they will re-use the Tyrell's small front wheels and tires, but with a regular front end assembly - but I'm just speculating here :P

This probably is the Motul Nismo GT-R:

p2.jpg

There is a re-release of the Fiat 600 Abarth!!! :D (albeit on the M05 - why!?)

There will indeed be a Rally Ready M05 - I hope they do more than just add rally blocks, but it's a nice idea :)

The Castrol Honda Civic will be re-released on the FF-03!

There will be some kind of OP/Hopup 60D M-chassis tire - rally tire probably?

And some parts anounced already as well - FF-03 hopups, 2WD body parts set (TRF buggy?)

I think I'm gonna need to win a lottery and buy all this! :o

Not sure about the second one.

High-end drift chassis kit.

The characters translated by Google as (only) mean "limited edition".

@ WW-nut: you are welcome ;)

Come to think about the FF03 chassis....

The FF02 was based on the M03, was it not?

And I think that only two cars was released on that chassis; the Alfa Romeo 156 and the Peugeot 306 Maxi Rally.

So, with the new M05.....Who knows?!?!

Personally I whish they'll take a more scale approach as per the TA01 vs. FF01.

A new FF would make my day, although as said with a bit more work than an MO5 with long arms, FF01 still rules !

Fantastic about the Civic !

Also just to add that the FF02 also was sold with a Celica body (road car).

Jerome, all FF'ed now

My eyes had filled themselves with tears for a moment...I'm not joking =D

I will ABSOLUTELY buy an FF03, but if it is based off something like an M05, then I'm very sorry but I think I would pass on that...

I would imagine that an FF03 is going to be very much like an FF02 - basically a Mini chassis with wider arms and the LWB or perhaps an even longer wheelbase...

I agree, makes me think about the DF03-RA that I was building this weekend, it's reminiscent of the TA0x cars in the way the gearboxes are and could be turned into an FF.

I'd prefer that to an MO5LA ;)

I can dream....

If the FF03 is lfront mount motor then OMG im soo happy. I have 3 FF01s and I can finally get rid of 2 to get the FF03.
