I must admit, this car grew on me, I now own one! I reckon it looks a lot like the Porsche 917 short tail Le Mans winner from 1970.

Recently built it up, and it too has the slightly notchy gearbox problem. The gearboxes just aren't anywhere near as free as I was hoping them to be. I was wondering if after few months of running if the gearbox has bedded itself in?

Was also rather amused to see the counter gear is locked to the shaft it is on, but there's still provision for an 1150 bearing that would not rotate! The shaft the counter gear is locked to rotates in two 850 bearings.

hi folks, just started reading this thread and am farmilliar with this setup, i too had a fire dragon with ezrun 9t system and your right, the tyres lasted minutes but the chassis handled it well enough although i find with such high powered motors the buggy ages very quickly but its a blast to thrash around!!
