They look good mate, I take it the Silver part is Screen printed and the rest Solvent printed?.

hiya Myles, yea its an additional auxilliary colour on top - gotta get the registrations linedup properly or the whole lot is trash

Yes, I see that as the only issue with screen printing as its quite easy for the screen to shift while inking, I see quite a lot of original tamiya decals have "Shift" when you look at them closely, something that gets fixed during vector artwork stage!.

Our printers suggested we could print as per normal (without silver) then print silver seperately, although its something we dont plan on doing quite yet

i too have many originals where the misregistration is off by nearly 2mm in every possible direction... T's QC checker must've gone on a long sabbatical in the mid 1980s

1001 possible reasons for misregistration when screenprinting, eg

- screen stretching

- temperature variances

- wear & play in the screen frame hinges etc

- vinyl stretches

etc etc
