Well, looks like I have got the go ahead. I have even been given the choice of two plots! One is in a field with track access with the edge of the nearest housing about 300 meters away, maybe not the best for Nitros, the other is at the back of his yard, which has great access, room for a shed, and is more secure. So the long and the short is, I am going to form a club based at the track. Yay.

Anyone in and around the region is most welcome to get involved. I have a few pairs of hands close by that will help get it going, but if anyone has any experience of this kinda thang please do get in touch. I am very excited about this, and will endeavor to make a track to suit as many as possible.

The intention is to provide a well kept track for the bare minimum necessary. I am going to have to pay rent, so a small fee will have to be paid to use, but I am talking pennies. Its not going to be a money maker, but it has to pay for itself. I have some good track ideas, coming from a motor cross background has helped, and I am researching track designs currently.

I have secured a spot that is effectively 30m x 30m to be sculpted, but I see no problem going bigger, and nor does he. I want the track to be open to all comers, and also be able to accomodate race meets.

If ya wanna get involved, have any advice, or wanna know anything get in touch.

The track is going to be in Crewkerne, Somerset, 25 miles from M5 Taunton, 10 miles from Yeovil. Train station link from Exeter.

Cheers y'all, Ben

Suprised no interest is this, maybe its worth posting on some other sites like on modelsport.co.uk. its a shame there seems no interest at all so far this year in any bashes in the South West.

I would love have an off road track to bash at, there is nowhere in Bristol really and although quite a few local trading estates I go it can get a bit boring on tarmac.

Good luck and hopefully if you get it up and running I would love to have a bash there!
