Paint On Hilux Radio Box..how To Remove?

Sorry if this question has been asked and answered before...i did search the forums with no joy..

anyway,

have a Hilux with black paint on the lower half of the radio box. Can i use the brake fluid method? I'm not sure what paint it is, and what plastic the box is made from..

I don't know about brake fluid as it will really could up a lexan body. best to try a drop or two on a section that won't show before dunking it in a bucket of brake fluid

i dont want to really test anything out as the box is in good nick apart from the paint.. Anyone else want to chip in?

Might try some oven cleaner. Worked for me on several lexan bodies.

Brakefluid for me is a no-no on lexan... ruined a lola body on that.
