Hi All,

Just thought I would introduce myself to the club as a new member!

I have just bought my first Tamiya on ebay, a TL-01RA Imprezza.

I have had to but a ESC to get it working which I am impatiently awaiting its arrival after another ebay purchase!

Cant wait to get it running.

Already I have fitted the precision ball bearings and a sport tuned motor!

Does anyone have any advice of what my next hop up maybe?

Possibly suspension??

I will run it mostly on a large lawn area?

Hi there Adamf, the Tl01 is a great starter chassis (I've got the Stadium raider). I can understand why you bought the "ra" as it looks (?) scale'ish, a lot of people like the Scooby road car and seems natural to get an R/C version to thrash around rather than trying to do on the road with the 1:1 and get loads of points etc...

Anyway, hop-ups. A set of oil shocks, either the cva or the alloy version will be ok, IMO a set of alloy hexes, stainless steel suspension shaft set(for the TL01).

The latter two are what I fitted to my TL01, they're not essential hop-ups, same goes for the carbon graphite prop-shaft & gear box shaft set (tho I havn't fitted those) but I fitted 'em cos they're hop-ups for not a lot of dosh.

I also fitted ball dif's f+r for the extra grip that they seenm to give, tho these are quite expensive @ £24.00.
