I am wanting to drill holes in my new Countach body, but instead of keep using my large main electric drill, I wondered if anyone could recommend a small hand held model one, I presume they do exist?? I just can't find one!

Also to save starting another thread, does anyone know the best way to remove Tamiya spray paint from a Poly shell? I used their 'masking stickers' on the windows, yet a couple seem to have leaked and paint has got through :) I would just want something to brush on lightly to remove the excess paint! Any suggestions would be very helpful!

Thanks as ever :)

What you need is a Tamiya "Electric Handy Drill", part # 74041 - which runs off two AA batteries.

As for the paint ... I'd try very gentle scraping with a scalpel to start with - it might just come off like that.

OH I gotta get me some of that! :)

If it works, I shall have to find someone to take 3/4 of a tin of nitro fuel! :)

Don't use an electric drill! The holes you make are not round and you have no control when making them. And what's more: it is dangerous.

Do as Willy advises: buy a good reamer. It will last forever and works perfect. I bought the Hudy reamer some time ago and it is perfect. The reamer even comes with a mm-scale on the tip so you know what diameter you make.

yours has a scale?

mine doesn't ;) ... was bought quite early on when they first started making them

no cap too which is the biggest annoyance

No scale on mine either, so I've had to resort to marking off diameters with tape, and the "cap" was what looked like a bit of nitro fuel tubing.

My Hudy reamer has a mm-scale on the tip and a safety cap over the tip. If you download the catalog from the hudy site www.hudy.net you will see the reamer with the remark "safety cap included" and the picture shows tip markings. (but the online product overview shows it without) So I think I have the newer version of the reamer.

Hudy also says they sell a spare tip for it... maybe when i see it in person & it has the new marking i'll buy it :(

But its getting real hard to buy Hudy spare tips now, nobody seems to stock them regularly. :(

also needing a new 050" tip
