Challenger-RT 0 Posted May 27, 2010 I have these two Cheetah decals. They are definetly originals. The back papers are identical, also the colours. I have recognized an imperfection on one sheet at the Lamborghini brand symbol, red cross and the Tamiya Stars. The colours are shifted slightly. Did anybody ever seen something like that? I can confirm that these are both original decalsheets. So come on guys - let's check the Cheetah decal sheets
Shodog 1834 Posted May 27, 2010 That is what is called registration. It's quite common on most original decals where the colors don't exactly line up. That is the worst I've seen, I'm surprised Tamiya QC let that one through
larbut 4 Posted May 27, 2010 Yes, that is the red colour shifted. I am quite sure that they are both originals, but I have never seen one as bad as this. You have something unique -Lars
WillyChang 1812 Posted May 28, 2010 yea that misreg is pretty bad, 5mm+ off? 2-3mm is not uncommon

Challenger-RT 0 Posted May 28, 2010 WillyChang:"Understatement of the century! " I got this two decal sheets with two nib Cheetah kits from a very kind and trusted TC member Due to this I was so happy and excited that this misreg was not so important to me – but interesting. loaded 4 Posted May 28, 2010 We can admit it was me Honestly, I didn't notice the decal mistake, but it is s curiosity. I might be able to swap it for you, I have an incomplete Cheetah body parts set somewhere and there would be a good one in there most likely. P.
Challenger-RT 0 Posted May 29, 2010 Thank you Paul, but no need. I want to keep it, because it's something unique.
