I've given up of Tamiya ever sorting the paint issue out in this country ... if you can't find any on eBay, i've had great results with Humbrol Modeller's Spray, both on styrene and lexan (hence the evangelicalism :P ) - #14 French Blue Gloss & #22 White Gloss should do the trick :)

a model shop in merry hill not far from me stocks humbrol as they used to keep tamiya paints but have stopped keeping them

i will keep them in mind as i have asked my lhs saturday to price up a case (6) of french blue from tamiya for me so i will wait for the reply from them first.

and as for the red and yellow allternative i aint quite took to that colour scheme yet

what about for the red and yellow scorcher ??

I guess TS-16 Yellow & TS-8 Italian Red would be the semi-official Tamiya recommendations ...

Humbrol #220 Italian Ferrari Red is a good match for the red ... but the only Humbrol yellow, #69 ( ;) ) "Bright Yellow" is really not that bright, it's a bit too umm, mustardy to be a good colour match.

Hang on, _Italian_ Ferrari Red? Where else are Ferraris made?

I've also had good experiences with Hycote acrylic paints - this link here should show you all the blues - 138 of them - on Wilco's site ... I'm afraid I couldn't be bothered to look through all of them to guess a match :)
