What Esc Is This?

Has no brand on it apart from a 'made in Japan' sticker on the bottom? Would like to know some more about it.

If anyone can help, that would be great :)

Cheers

Looks like a Futaba MC112B with the label removed: http://www.aeforums.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=6032

Possibly the last of the Japan made stuff from Futaba?

Thank you OCD! :) I did wonder if it was a futaba...

That link also has another link to TC member's BlueFoot's (another NZer)

TCphoto's where he has hosted the complete manual/specs.

Cheers

I've got a 112B sitting in my hand, and it looks just like that. That one is mounted upside down. Looking at your pic, the far right hole is the "high" adjustment, and the next one to the left is the "neutral setpoint". The big hole all the way to the left is the LED, and the other two holes are nothing (covered by the label).

Mine has a made in Taiwan sticker though, but I've had it for a LONG time.

Thanks, yeah it's that way so the motor leads reach the motor and so you can set it up without dismantling the car.

I found the set up instructions in the link OCD posted above, but have found that is rev's more if the LED is barely on green as opposed to barely on red.

So if it's 100A continuous I'd imagine it can probably handle a bit more than the specified 27T?

Just bought another MC112B off the same guy, and he found the metal sticker for the first one and posted it with the second one.

I may be pushing it but I'm hoping 100A is enough to run an 01R (9019)

Speaking of old Futaba units, the MC116B was good

I sure wish I could read that information on that PR shot. I don't know about you guys, but putting a nice warm ESC into a pile of sawdust doesn't seem like a brilliant Idea. LOL

I hope to add a 116 to my collection sometime soon. Fingers crossed.

I wanted a couple of MC116Bs for my king cab and hilux monster racers but never found any.

I did find the plastic decal for that esc in the bottom of the box so heated it up and stuck it back on, I have now sold that esc and a duplicate when I sold my original hornet and grasshopper earlier in the year. Good esc but was never fond of the non-proportionate reverse.
