know i am wondering if anyone has done this as i am throwing this idea around in my mind.

cause i want to lacquar my lunchbox shell as i forgot to do this before i applyed the decals.

now what would be the outcome of this ie would the decals pull or melt.

I know tamiya clear lacquer is fine. I spray clear over the decals on my hardbody runners. it adds an extra layer of "protection" I never do it on my shelfers anymore, though - because - as I've found - the only issue you'll run into is if (when) the decals start to lift....... :)

i have just finished my first hard body (wild willy 2) and i used automotive lacquar on that with no probs

but my lunchbox was painted a few years back so i dont know how it will react as i will use the same automotive lacquar as i cant lay my hands on the tamiya lacquar

Hi. Any Acrylic Lacquer will do, the better the brand the better ther quality, usually. I use Halfords mainly. Your decals should be fine. Sometimes the ink on the aftermarket decals can run a tad, this has happened to me once or twice, but tamiya decals have always been fine for me.
