can you help identify this motor please

Hi there,

I am looking to identify a motor i have in my bits n bobs box.

I have looked around and i think its an Acto-power off roader (53122) is this correct ?

If it is a 53122 2wd motor i think i may put it up for sale or trade as someone may as well get the use out of it as it looks to be in great (hardly used) condition.

Definately the acto 2wd offroader, although the sticker with the label and timing markings has been removed.

How much would you be looking for?

I am unsure of a value to put on it yet and havent decided whether to sell it or to use it.

I'll have a look about and see what information i can find on it before i decide what it fate is.

I did find that page and have saved it as its a great point of reference.

Upto now the only info i can find regarding to the value of this motor is the second item down on this page -:

I am still unsure whether to let it go or not !!

The only things im looking for at the min are a clod and or brat bodyset and possibly a Xc rolling chassis.

The blue acto power can be found new for aroung $50. Great motor.

Yea the i have to agree from reading on other threads the blue motor is the one out of the two that people go for most.

Found this one on ebay this morning and the can is different -:

So from what i have read i think that the one i have is the original one and not the re-make, is this correct ?

Yes, that one you've found on ebay will not have any markings on the can, while the one you have in your possession would normally have a sticker with timing markings on. However they would easily fall off.

The newer one has also no ball bearings and fixed timing, you can check yours for those.
