Hi guys,

Just after some feedback on the CRA rear stabilizer, does anyone here have one or used one on their car before? if so are they worth having, are they functional or just bling?

Cheers,

I just ordered his shock mounts. He didn't have everything in one color, so I have to wait for another run to be produced. I plan to get the stabilizer also.

I don't have the CRA one but I have the old school equivilant. Its "ok" not really noticable. It is also just another thing to get in the way when you have to replace the gears everyday :P

If you're grinding the gears up, sounds like you need OldFrogShot 's Screw Mod ... it stops the differential separating, bowing the gearbox side plates outwards, and your gears stripping.

The CRA rear stablilizer is a modern reproduction of the old Trinity rear sway bar kit (I posted CAD drawings a few years back), I'd rate it as a must have for any Blackfoot, Mud Blaster, or Monster Beetle runner. It solves the roll over problem that occures during hard cornering at speed, Tamiya widened the wheel track of the later Super & King Blackfoot to try and solve this issue.

With the rear stablilizer fitted there is a lot less body roll in the corners, which means you can leave the power on more and turn in harder without the fear of flipping the truck corner over corner (I've totalled a blackfoot doing this). I don't know if it will do much for the Frog or Brat they have much lower stances.

If you've already done the oldfrogshot mod on the diff and are running a hopped up motor, you'll want the rear stablizer to keep your truck the right way up.

Interesting thanks! i was thinking of using the CRA stabilizer for my frog to try overcome rolling it as often with a faster motor. I think i missed my chance though as the CRA guy's auctions ended last week and i didn't have the money to buy one at the time! too many hobbies on the go at once. :)

I think he makes them in batches, I bought mine ages ago. Disappears for a couple of months then suddenly he's got everything - nerf bars, sway bars, motor mounts, shock mounts etc in several diff colours.

I'd hang about for a while and they'll turn up. Could do with one for my BF actually.

He does seem to do them in batches, and it looks like he's added to his line over the last year as well. I like what I've got for his products, although I found rollovers with the original locked Brat diff more likely with his rollbar than without, and vice versa with the open diff. If the plan for the rollbar is reduction of losing dogbones, it certainly helps, but the mod screwing the output cups together is more effective!

Anyone know where I can find any info for CRA products or who he/she is?

Thanks

Do a search for CRA in Toys and Hobbies but look for completed listings. From one of his listings, contact him and ask him when he is listing moe in the colour you want.

Thanks for your reply. Had another reply from someone on TC so now I know what to look out for and I also sent him a message.

Thanks again.
