Jacko Boy 0 Posted June 19, 2010 hi, i have been playing with my original ss today, trying to put a newer 540 in, it does,nt seem to want to go, I dont think the old perspex cover will marry up, any thoughts? I would like to drop a sport tune in, how is it done?Thanks oops thought you meant the re-release i believe the older motor casing has something that blocks anything but the supplied silver can. e30legend 19 Posted June 21, 2010 I have also done this mod, but I took about .3 off the motor itself instead of adjusting the vintage gearbox, I found the problem to be the black coating on the motor is very thick. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
