I have just finished building my F350 HighLift and added the Junfac 4-Link kit. I am having one problem though, the turning circle is so poor. Does anyone with this kit from junfac have the problem? Is there a way to solve it?

What size wheels are you using. I have 2.2's with 13mm wheel spacers and that doesn't help at all to get the truck to turn. As a Land Rover driver I do not worry to much about it though. I think with the axle mount kit for the servo it will cure it to a certain extend, but I'm not sure. There is aluminium steering knuckles out there that are machined to make the angle before lockout a lot bigger. Can't remember where I saw it, might be from Jun too.

What shocks are you using? Do you also have a problem with the body leaning over when turning?

i'm running the kit wheels with trail doctor xl tyres. the shocks on it are the gold ones for the clodbuster. yeah it does body sway when turning.

Someone in the showrooms did a mod where the steering knuckles were filed down to make for a sharper turn in. A lot to scan through but I know it's there.

I'm still trying to figure out how to sort out the body roll issue. I creates all kinds of problems driving over rough terrain. The wheels catch on the arches and I can't seem to sort it out. Might have to go back to 1.9's.

Will have a look through the showrooms to see if i can find one.

I raised up the body by about 15-20mm using some tube i had laying about. No wheels scrubbing on the arches now. Just want to stop it swaying as it looks silly.

don't know about these trucks, but a softly sprung clod is the king of body lean. sway bars are the only way to stop it as far as i know, outside of stiffening up the shocks. unfortunately, it takes a toll on articulation.

Taking the diff pin out of the front gearbox makes a huge difference to the turning circle, as it understeers everywhere with it, but it's a trade off for less traction.

Berman is right, the problem isnt with the Junfac kit but with the diffs being locked (I ran my Hilux with kit springs and the steering was terrible changed to the junfac 4 link and there was no difference to the steering). With both axles diffs locked the turning circle will be bad, with just rear locked it will be a little better but with both unlocked it will have good steering but as Berman points out its a tradeoff, with locked diffs it will manage offroad much better.

And thank you Neil and Rich for clearing that up. The same thing happens with my son's TL01 with locked diffs front and rear. Terrible steering but it does climb nicely.
