rizzo rat 0 Posted July 3, 2010 Any one got any ideas or know what suspension to put on the rear of my CC-01 so the axle drops a bit more but with out altering the ride height. I don't want to butcher the chassis but would like some Pic’s of already modded cars please.
garry 1 Posted July 3, 2010 If you want the rear axle to drop more (thats called droop), then fit longer shocks (or at the very least, shocks with longer bodies than standard) so the shock can extend more, but reuse your current springs and keep the same ride height with pre-load spacers. A pair of shocks from a 2wd buggy could work? I'll find pics of my CC01s.
garry 1 Posted July 3, 2010 Here's my old CC01s, both were secondhand and I don't know if the first truck was standard, but the second one was definitely modified. First truck Second truck

garry 1 Posted July 3, 2010 Whats the advantage to mounting the shocks upside down I haven't got a clue, thats how it came! I didn't run it but that truck had a lot more articulation than the other, probaly because the shocks were longer rather than they were upside down though.
