Who Still Uses The Tamiya Box Wreanch?

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking I might have to go the keychain route as well since it cut my King Cab run short today when one of the rear wheel nuts came loose and I had no way of tightening it.

I use both, the little one and the 'BIG DADDY' wrenches that came with the 501X and TG10MK2.

I am sure my 1992 Camaro Z28 still has a Tamiya wrench in it, it was used for taking the 'CHIP' out the ECU box.. These little wrenches are great!

i use mine all the time even though i have assorted drivers in those sizes, the box wrenh fits in a pocket much better than a driver.

i like TAmarks key chain, i think i may have to make one.

If i did that and give them to my wife it will be sign here for my divorce.

She can't stand R/C and keeps asking me to grow up.

Well, at the risk of getting blacklisted by the 'Tamiya Box Spanner User Group' SIG (there's bound to be one!) I prefer the Kyosho version because the M4 leg is longer and it's a neater casting. B)

Me too. I have a larger one from a Kyosho nitro car that I use a lot as well; it's 5.5, 7, 8, & 10mm.

I keep one in my pocket with the keys. Its actually shiny from the daily rubbing in the pants.

Yep, I still have a bunch of those little wrenches. They do vary slightly over the years, but the good old base design seems to stay the same :)

I used mine yesterday while cleaning/setting up my 'not new in box' BigWig that Santa brought me last week, well it wasn't the official Tamiya one but the one that belongs to my Marui Samurai which also got a little clean up. ;)

I still use mine all the time but wish i had a better tool to do so at times.

Never new that the older ones had Tamiya stamped on it as TA Mark metioned.

You learn somthing new all the time....
