Hello!

I'm looking to potentially upgrade the gearbox on an madcap/astute to the ttc set, has anyone got a list fo the parts needed?

or, has anyone tried to fit another gearbox to either of these models?

From memory you need.

Super Astute A parts £12.95

Super Astute Gearbox Cover £10

Super Astute Gear Set £11

Super Astute Press parts (for metal parts and something else which gets changed but i forget) £12-15

Super Astute Gearbox plate set (included in press parts i think)

6 blue shield tamiya bearings (3 sizes) £15+

Super Astute Screw set (you probably need all 6 screw bags ABCDEF as i can almost bet you need screws from each bag) £21+

Instructions (set on ebay right now!)

and Finally the part you will probably never find as a spare, the TTC gear Shaft (Hen's teeth, a few other members have asked for them recently, maybe they found one?).

Its probably cheaper (and easier) for you to locate a complete TTC set NIB as i just added that lot up to £82+ the SA shaft needed, those are based on cheapest prices ebay, hope that helps.

Seems incredible but i've been able to find one on Ebay.de, still in the original bag part #3455262, never saw another one, really lucky find.......
