What To Do?

I purchased a ff-01 front gearbox from a TC member last September, and despite numourous requests for it, and he promising to send it with extra parts, I'm still waiting. Its not about the money, and he seems like a decent person, but almost a year is not on. I'm not gonna name anyone as thats not fair, and the first time it wasn't sent there was a genuine reason, but I guess they're hoping I forget about it and just lose my cash. I have had numerous chats with him on a social website we all know and love, and I've lost count of the number of times its been promised to me, so why can't it just be sent to me? What do I have to do?

Any suggestions would be welcomed!

I'm fed-up with asking tbh, and I paid by cheque as they haven't got a paypal account. Its not about the money though. I just want what I paid for. I don't think I'd get my money back anyway, seeing as its taken this long to not get what I paid for, how long would a refund take?! lol!!

Well I think thats shocking!

I`d be asking my bank if they could find out where the cheque went and when it was cashed tbh. I dont think they will be able to do alot though.

See things like this annoy me and I would name and shame the member! A year to wait is way too lng!

Perhaps mentioning on here might get him to pull his finger out .

Apart from that sending information to TC members that request his name might be a way of avoiding future sour grapes .

I hope you get the parts promised.

C'mon dude its been nine months, A baby could have been concieved and born in that time (And in feral cases educated)

The Re Re Holiday Buggy would have been planned made and released by the time you send the parts .

Nine months is 2 full seasons a crop could have been planted reaped replanted and harvested again !!!

In 9 months by any means possible I could have walked,rode,sailed,swam to the UK from Australia collected the parts in person and hand delievered them to Marty (and made it back home in time educate the feral new born).

Whats the go ??

I'm sorry to hear that. I to have had a couple of small losses on TC and even one on ebay with people just not sending items. Again it wasn't about the money with a £5 part or £2 booklet its just the waste of time and the principle.

Personnally if you have evidence of this member then I see no reason why you should not post that up for others to make their judgements on it. We have a suspicious traders section so might as well make use of it!

Your post made me laugh, although its not funny for the guy waiting, thats disgusting. You dont have a leg to stand on in getting your money back though, paypal you may have stood a chance, not that I like paypal, there another bunch of robbing **. Anyhow I dont know how some people can sleep at night...how hard can it be to take it to the post office and sent it....he obviously has no intention of doing so.

Shame on you, whoever you are but karma will catch up with you one day.

I feel your heartache Martin. It really gets you down when this kind of thing happens. I sit with similar predicament, I paid a guy for a Blackfoot and he is alos not making any plans to send it on. Was 5 months ago that I paid for it and still no parcel. He complained about postage, then I offer to have it collected and then he just stopped answering my mails. Obviously he scammed more than one with this.

The other problem is that he doesn't post on this forum, and he hasn't re-newed his TC subscription. I have got his email address, which I have sent a message or 2, he's also a 'friend' on Facebook and on my MSN messenger. I have mentioned it to him EVERYTIME we have spoken on either, and he always promises to post, but it always seems to be an empty promise.

Its sad because every other TC member that I have traded/bought with has been 100% honest and sent as promised. Its not going to put me off trading on here as I know 99% of the sites members are trustworthy people. I don't really want to name him yet, I'm hoping he may just see this post and buck-up his ideas and send me what I wanted.

I wouldn't hold your breath, if he posts that Ill have to sit down in shock..people like that give TC a bad rep..We all love RC and should all be helping each other not scamming people....I bet he's sold it to someone else and made double his money.

Hi I have had a similar thing happen to me but it was for a lot more money £150 in fact. They told me it was posted I waited and nothing. I then contacted them and they told me that it was posted. After a while I filed a paypal dispute and they seemed very angry that I had done this and accused me of ripping them off. Who knows mabe they did post it and it was lost in the post. That is one reason why i always use paypal.

I understand that your case is a little different they have actually promised to send it and they have not. That is not how I would think people would work on this site.

So to help you out and show that there may be a few bad apples on this site, but there are plenty more good people. I have a few FF01 used gearboxes and a few other ff01 parts hanging round, so let me know what you need and i will send them out to you.

If he doesn't post are you sure he still reads the forum? To check click on his Forum name, and select "View Members Profile". Then look within the left hand column --> Statistics, Last Seen: **/**/**

Maybe you should send him yet another email with a link of the thread and ask him his view on the transaction.

Hi i must admit i had abit of a problem with a fellow TC member recieving a package i sent. I wanted to wait to see if it turned up about a month and a half. No Parts arrived for him so i refunded him and lost my stuff but i'd rather lose out than someone else on here. Anyway's ask for a refund.

Its late so i haven't read all the posts but what was it you were expecting to recieve if i have the same i could always post it to you free if i have it?
