Hi, can anyone help? I have a Michelin Pilot Cosworth, model number 58125, which has the TA01 chassis. Over the time I've had it the body has become damaged with use. I would like to upgrade the body to something newer. but I'm struggling to find any original bodies to fit. I have found out that the TT01 chassis bodies fit, and as I have another model, Tamiya XB Subaru Impreza WRC, model number 57717, with the TT01 chassis I thought that swapping them over would work. Unfortunately it doesn't. Someone advised me to get the Tamiya RC 4WD FRP Rear Damper Stay. I've tried this along with swapping the rear body mounts, but struggling to fit Subaru body. Can anyone help with this?

Well the FRP rear damper stay/tower is a good move as it allows more mounting options for the rear body mounts. What exactly is the problem mounting the scooby shell? Is it that the wheels dont line up (wheelbase) or are you having problems with mounts?

Also its important to remember that some bodys are too low a profile for the TA01 chassis because the body hits the front damper tower! Best to check it out before buying some low front bodys. The RX7 just fits!

All the bodies should be 190mm so the wheelbase should fit, no?

If it is the body posts, you can experiment with different posts from different models - something will probably work. I've swapped between TT-01 and TL-01 w/o any problems. I think the TB series would be more difficult, but can't see why the TA series couldn't be swapped with other models...?

If it is clearance issues with the front shock tower, well ... you are out of luck and would have to find a different body that fits over it.
