How Many Rc Kits Did Academy Release ?.

Hi guys I was just wondering if anybody knows how many kits Academy released and what years they were released.

I know they made the Roadrunner I,Roadrunner II,Mirage 4x4,Neo Griffin. But apart from that I am in the dark .

I would like to collect all the kits but unsure as to the number I am looking at.

Anybody know ??.

There's also the Wyvern, GV2, GV2 Pro, GV2-T (truck), SB Sport, SB Pro, SB V2 Sport, SB V2 Pro, RT-4 GP nitro truck and Velox nitro 4wd buggy.

My first RC car around 26 years ago was the Academy Galaxy Buggy. It was a direct Grasshopper clone.

Academy did a Hummer on Hornet like chassis with lunchbox wheels... wasn't the prettiest thing...

They also had the mercury xi4 , which was also sold under other brand names such as Mugen and Graupner.  Mugen might actually be the developper as this car shares some things with their earlier 4wd: the  Bulldog

They made a buggy called the Academy/Minicraft Lazer based on the Grasshopper/Hornet design. It used a body sold by Parma called "the Sly One" marketed for the Fox. Tower sold them for something like $45 BITD.

By rereading I noticed there 's no mention of the griffin line: 2WD  electric buggy somewhat simailar to an associated b2 or losi xx in design.  The versions were, griffin, neo-griffin and griffin pro. The truck version was the  Sport RT.

The later GV2 was the follow up:  it is short for Giffin V2. The design team told me this when I met them at the IFMAR 2007 wcs in Japan. It was there they first presented the GV2 to the press,. It did not compete in the race since they only just got it ready to presnet.

The wyvern was also released as wyvern ex sp01 and sp02

The EX version had bakelite shocktowers and a bakelite chassis with a plastic molded  topdeck. This while the stock wyvern had natural colour fiberglass epoxy chassis, topdeck and shocktowers
