Decided to retire my mk1 rough rider to the shelf after breaking the roof wedging it under my slammed beetle

These cars are so much fun I couldn't help but drive it and deep down I knew it would end like this

I feel your pain. Those roof pillars are super vulernable. I've broken several on my runner. Really if your going to run it, youare better off with a lexan sell.

That's too bad dude, hope you can get it sorted soon. I don't even own a an RR but hope to get one at some point as they are so iconic.

After you've sorted out your Rough Rider shell you should retire the shell to the shelf and get a few lexan shells or a few Buggy Champ shells (or both ) to use as runners.

Just bought a cheap shell on ebay to run, I'm gonna stay away from running it near cars or anything solid that can do damage.

I felt sick when I heard the thud and couldn't bear to look when I pulled it out.

I had a go with the super glue and it don't look too bad but I know its there which is going to drive me mad.

I have a few old chassis so I may try and coble something together using old and 2010 parts to make a runner to have some fun with.

The RR/BC2009 body is identical to the original Rough Rider (1979) isn't it? So you can just order some Buggy Champ B Parts Roof/driver , code number 19005957 ;-

they cost 7 USD. Also on Ebay I imagine. I just bought 2 complete body sets.
