I remember when I was about 11 I bought a new set of Avante decals from beatties just so I could stick "Being Nuts Is Neat" on my school folder

Impressive Numbers and Devilsome are my favourites nowadays.

Also does anyone know the history/reasoning behind these slogans?

And why did tamiya stop doing them?

Buggies without wing slogans are souless.

My favourite slogan... just look at the signature below.

Although many of the other catchphrases ("Bush Devil: Fort Worth Tuning Terrors") and driver names ("Barf 'n Berry"... lol) are so hilarious, I'm having are hard time deciding which are the best. Good ol' Barf even was even lucky enough to drive two buggys and one stadium truck (Dyna Storm, Dyna Blaster and Mad Bull).

Yes, all Latin languages. Terra is intended like the planet but also like the ground.

Terror? Conqueror, or Terra Conqueror?

Terra: The Latin, Portuguese, Italian, Romanian, Occitan, and Catalan name for the planet Earth.

In other words, 'Earth' or 'Ground' Conqueror.

Tamiya do come up with some good model names and wing slogans though, more prominent in the older models but they do occasionally hit a winner of a name with a modern buggy. Dark Impact, Rising Storm, Gravel Hound as examples of some of the noteworthy modern buggys. My favourites are still The Fox and The Grasshopper. 'Anytime Baby' on the Hornet wing makes me smile everytime I see it.

The story with the Avante decals reminds me that I bought re-release Hotshot decals for one of my RC cars, but used two unused decals on my ice hockey helmet. One of them is the "Are You Hot?" sticker!

I was thinking of trying some other decals - I like the "I'm Hopping Mad" slogan of the Grasshopper II, and it fits my unhinged persona as a goalkeeper

"Go For It!" and "Get Rough!" have also been candidates, with the latter coming from the infamous Sonic Fighter! Strictly RC-wise, though, my favourite is probably the "Awesome!" on the Astute's rear wing, as it most certainly is... followed by the "Devilsome!" on the Manta Ray. They are good for a laugh or two

I love "Devilsome" as the manta ray was my first nib tamiya, a xmas gift from my parents some 24 years ago!

A couple of rare ones are the "pushing more" decal from the thundershot hop up wing, and "move 'em on" from the avante hop up wing set.

Who makes this stuff up?

Baldre and Durga are both terrible buggy names and terrible wing decals to boot ! Amazing buggies.......badly named.

Sorry, not a buggy or a slogan for that matter but 'Jake's Motorsport' on the Blackfoot is my favourite as my son's name is Jake and the Blackfoot is my favourite RC.

Great thread! My favorite buggy is my "Madcap" and of course the "Never give up!" slogan is almost a little cliche but still a goodie. I also love the "pushing more" on the thunder shot wing

I'm sure the dyna storm used the slogan "blowin' up a storm" due to the propensity of the thing to spread it's guts all over the track after a jump!!!

The Super Champ's Go For It! is fantastic and I remember seeing it, and with the very same characters, in motorsport events like tractor pulling in the 80's. You could see it high up in many pulling sleds back in the day.

Another one I like a lot, although not from a buggy, was the Black Foot's Stomping Around
