EZRUN 35A v2 hooked up to a 9T

Anybody know what red+green flashing LEDs mean?

Doesn't quite list all fault codes in the manual-piece-o-paper, nor in the earlier v1.0 manual either

ESC worked fine previously, just moved the EZRUN over into another car using a

different Spektrum RX (confirmed works fine in the car it got poached from)

and hooked up to a new 9T motor (it works fine on another EZRUN ESC).

LiPO 2s fully charged on Deans, no lack of juice there.

Happens when going from brake &/or reverse into fwd, it won't go fwd no more.

But will keep going reverse anytime.

Waiting doesn't cancel the code (motor & ESC not hot with touched)... but if i waggle the steering, sometimes it rights itself.

make sure the motor wires are set up correct for you with your R/N TX settings and motor direction. ignore the wire colour match up as it can run in revers sometimes if set colour to colour. also reset the ESC and make sure your trim is set to neutral. both my 35A and 60A ezrun on my 9t and 5.5 doesnt like it if the trim is set slightly forward or back when setting up as it thinks its trying to do something and brake or reverse stops working.

No lights should be on in neutral. Red and green for forward full throttle and Red with no green for full reverse. A flashing red means Lipo Cut Off or Overheat protection.

hope this helps

thanks Vince... yeah been reset + reprogrammed a few times, no loose wires or anything

wondering if its anything to do with BEC low voltage vs the new RX... as this v2 came from factory

with the fan wires powered off the BEC lines, not direct off the battery power like its older brothers.

Or if the RX sitting right next to ESC is absorbing inteference.

Just read this - **** and blast! Guess it doesnt like my CoreRC 2.4Ghz setup B)

This ESC has an interesting software design bug! It works fine in "Rock crawler" mode on all 4 of my transmitter/receiver sets except with the GiantCod 4 channel 2.4GHz system. Investigation has revealed that it does not like the control frame period of 16ms generated by this 4 channel set! The symptoms of the fault are that after driving the brushless motor in reverse, it will not then start the motor in the forwards direction, which it should. This fault is completely repeatable! To test the frame rate theory I used a Jeti Duplex which has a programmable frame period (I tried 8ms to 30ms). Sure enough, when the frame period is set to 16ms (the same as the 4ch 2.4GHz GiantCod system), the ESC stops working properly! An educated guess is that the ESC microcontroller interrupt handler software is getting messed up due timing conflicts between the motor startup routine and the command control pulse handler. How embarrassing for the software writer!

Just switched over to my V1.1 ESC and it works perfectly - now constructing an email to Hobbywing to see if anything can be done.

Anyone want to buy/swap a V2 ESC :)
