Well basically I no longer have an interest in running the SIGs I started and wondered if they can be transferred to someone elses ownership?

This is a very good question. I think there are one or two SIGs that are kinda closed because the TCers who ran them have not renewed their memberships. Anybody in the know?

SIG ownership can't be transferred, any apps to 'dead' SIGs come to me and I add the applicants.

If the owner re-subscribes, the SIG ownership transfers back to them.

Thanks for the answer Twinset. One question though, I allowed my Tamiyaclub subscription to expire for about a month recently but I was still receiving applications in my emails to join my SIGs. I couldn't add them as I was not a member but they were still waiting to be added when I did eventually renew my subscription. I renewed my subscription solely for the benefit of those TC members to allow them to join the SIG as they requested. A year from now I don't intend renewing my subscription again and want this time to leave things tidy with respect of these 2 popular SIGs.

If it happens again, just forward me the mails, or PM me via the forums - Chris has to manually re-direct the SIG mails in between 'sweeps' and the last sweep was a fair while ago.

When you decide to let your subs lapse, the best course would probably be to send a 'SIGmail' and see if any existing members want to start a similar SIG, you can then un-approve all the members from your SIG.

There was discussion about either deleting old, dormant SIGs or closing them to new applications, although I'm not sure what the latest view is on this.
