sosidge 624 Posted September 8, 2010 Check this out guys. Anything you like? Pretty much everything! One of the most interesting Tokyo line-ups from Tamiya in a long time... two new TRF cars... a new rear wheel drive mini... some nice bodies on standard releases... and a sensored brushless system (at last)... hopefully there will be some good pics posted when the time comes! sosidge 624 Posted September 8, 2010 1/10 R/C 2WD Buggy 【Tentative】 Could this be the return of the Sand Rover...? I was thinking along the lines of a mid-motor TRF201. Since it's tentative we may not see anything though....

kiasukid 52 Posted September 8, 2010 Ooh, I'm really hoping I can make a visit to this show. I'm curious about the "tentative" 2WD too - maybe be a sport (ie. more basic) version of the TRF201? I was intending to get an ABC 'Goose' mini chassis, but now I'm torn between that or waiting for the M06.

Henk4Focus 0 Posted September 8, 2010 Where's the Bronco on cc-01 chassis? I thought it was a sure release... TAM58469 Ford Bronco CC-01. Just check Garry's post under winter releases. The Land Cruiser is just a XB version of the kit, so don't despair it is on it's way. Henk
GreatDane 70 Posted September 8, 2010 And yet still no 1/8 801Xe? Maybe i'll have to wait until the ToyFair in Germany, february 2011... Oh, well...
Tamiya1/10 382 Posted September 8, 2010 Sure like to see some photos. The super sherman would be of interest. The upgraded big gun (kind of remind me of a small child carrying a big stick) allowed the sherman to go toe to toe with other big tanks.

I was intending to get an ABC 'Goose' mini chassis, but now I'm torn between that or waiting for the M06. It would be typical for Tamiya to indeed release a replacement for the DT02 Chassis in it's 540 spec now - They have made an out of the ordinary release on the DT02 which has to make a nice ending to the lifeline, story or whatever you want to call it of the DT02... I really hope they do it, but who knows...
Olly_Lunchbox 28 Posted September 8, 2010 A word or two has been deleted from that line. The list is the same as several other forums and it should read:* 1/10 R/C TRF201 Basic Version 【Tentative】 That ain't gonna be a re-release ! It's definitely a basic 201. Look further down the list and you'll see OP TRF201 Slipper Clutch Set 【Tentative] - as the TRF kit already comes with a slipper clutch this must be for a basic version. fabolousRC 0 Posted September 8, 2010 Its nice to see a new body is being released on the ff03 chassis. It makes a change from all the re-releases . The new body is based on this car *drool*. Origineelreclamebord 45 Posted September 8, 2010 That TRF417 looks very narrow! And Shaft Drive on the new Offroad TRF... Interesting I assume that this is because of the advantages it gives with closing the drivetrain, but we will see... Now the question will be... Will they keep the TRF511 in production as well, or will they discontinue it? (Because it seems such an essential aspect on a car that it may make the difference for a racer to step to the competition or not).

94eg! 834 Posted September 9, 2010 Oooh, TRF417... Nice.- James I'm excited for this too. We'll see if Tamiya actually admits that there is such a thing as lipo batteries now (instead of calling them "mainstream high-output batteries".)... Seriously: http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=42182 I do gotta say thumbs down to the Euro Civic Type-R. I love Honda's but that is the ugliest car they ever produced. HunterZero 76 Posted September 9, 2010 I'm excited for this too. We'll see if Tamiya actually admits that there is such a thing as lipo batteries now (instead of calling them "mainstream high-output batteries".)... Yes that was one disappointing thing about the 416X. That LiPo upgrade is expensive. I do gotta say thumbs down to the Euro Civic Type-R. I love Honda's but that is the ugliest car they ever produced. Agreed. The JDM Civic Type R FD2 sedan is a harder, faster, better looking car than the ugly Euro Civic Type R FN2 hatch. Not only that, the ugly FN2 hatch loses the independent rear suspension from other Civics, it now has cheaper torsion beam. And the JDM car has the proper K20A from the CL7 Accord Euro Type R, the Euro one has a lower spec engine. - James
