When i called into my newsagents to get my usual smokes for work i notice the new weekly build magazine, BMW M3 GTR nice, a free wheel this week [] then i got a thinking, 50p intro price for one wheel, mmmmmm 4 x 50p for a new set of bashing wheels. needless to say i now got 4 of the same first issue just for the wheels.

just thought i'd let you know as they fit the tamiya hexes like a charm. []

New year, new car to collect in many parts. The BMW you build is a Thunder Tiger TS-4n. Previous ones were 99p for the first issue (how many of us got a cheap set of monster truck wheels!) so this one seems even more of a bargain.

Just don't bother collecting the magazine.

Yup dont bother with whole magazine, it would cost approx £560 to complete the build of the car a Thunder Tigre TS4N, hmm that could get you a few nice Tamiya's.

Picked up 4 copies today. They had a massive pile of them in WHSmiths...I was so tempted to buy 8 or 12, but I felt silly enough getting 4 at once as it was!! Perhaps I'll pop back tommorow and get another 4!! The tyres seems nice and soft too, and very low in profile.

Picked some up today.

Build it in 95 parts at £5.99 each (minus discounts on first and second issues) gives a total of £561.[xx(] BUT the radio is an extra £45![8)] The 'good thing' []is they will give you parts to customise it - such as chrome mirrors, working headlights and tribal flame stickers.

Modelsport sell the same car with different body for £219.[xx(]

I was wondering if the components like the body (2 are supplied, one painted, one not) will be £5.99? could be quite a bargain... suspect you may have to send off for it though, as WHSmith may not be too pleased with a load of huge boxes on the shelf []

Yes, the issues with the bodies will be £5.99, its just that by then they will only be available to subscribers. The only way to get them without subscribing is to try and get hold of back issues once it has been available. unfortunately unless you know someone who is subscribing you won't know which issue it is. Also remember it is one of the last bits needed, so don't expect them to be available for another 90 (yes, 90!) weeks.

I went down to get some of these at my local shop, but they had run out of the first issue! Amazing how many people get drawn into thsese things...

I mean £5.99 isn't much for RC parts in the scheme of things, so anything universal and decent, post here

i got 22 issues over 2 days! i think that might have been a bit overkill lol. ive noticed some people selling them on ebay for up to £12 per set so far!

I have 7 sets of 4 wheels now (28 Copies). Sod selling them as i will gt through these in a couple of weeks i the summer.

People are selling them for £4 on ebay a set aswell.

I dont bother with these now, as they never usually finish producing the run. so you will prob get 95% of the car complete and the mag will stop.
