This is my first Dyna Storm. I have to say its the smoothest buggy i have ever driven.

Has a pink Acto power motor tthat we disscussed how cheap and good they are. Has a carbon fiber top plate..

Is so nice too drive.

Having seen this one in person it looks great and the photo doesn't really do it justice. I've been a big fan of the dyna storm for years now and seeing yours that day inspired me to track down my own NIB rere to build up. I don't get it till xmas but we will have to get them together for a run in the new year ;)

Hi Scoop..

Cant wait to see your Dyna Storm.

Gee you got it but cant see or build it till x mass. That would kill me.

Really don't know how you do it.

See you soon.

Mark.

Cool sticker on the wing too! ;) Growing up I always wanted to be a logo designer, that is a pretty cool design for a neat and fun little purpose.

These cars are indeed great fun! :( I have 3 of them, and at least a 4th one in parts :D I guess the TRF201 would be a smoother buggy in some aspects, however, I've built them both and I have to admit that the Dyna Storm actually has less slop in the suspension arms than the TRF201 ;) (Although it's very small on both cars anyway).

I would like to say thank you for all your help. I got on top of it a lot sooner than otherwise due to your advice.

Much appreciated.

Does any webshops still have the Re-re in stock?

Hi.

I had to do alot of searching to find mine.

It seems the D/S Re re is so hard to get NIB. I wanted a nib to build myself and to me nothing beats building your own vintage runner. I think it was one of the first Re re and a very limited run too.

The Top Force is much the same too.

I think Jason's E bay store JR-RC gets one now and again. Do a e bay search. The guy i got mine from had 4nib to sell and i made a offer. They aren't cheap when you find one so have a fat wallet.

Scoop where did you get yours from??????

I too found it hard to track one down. I wanted a NIB because I wanted to build it myself and I wanted a rere because I assumed an original would be more expensive. Waited a few weeks for a rere to pop up on ebay but then I noticed that Jason had an original NIB for just a couple of pounds more so I bought the original. Didn't feel guilty about building and running though as I won't ever part with it. It's become my favourite runner too.

Nice runner, and glad to see DS still on tracks......!! :)

My TRF201 is now ready and my DS will have his last race october 17 (i want to finish this year championship with it...) and then will go on retire on the shelf, i'm a little bit sad about this. I will still use it on vintage meetings.

Bye

I got mine from jason, i was looking though his tamiya kits drooling as i like to do and there it was. I dont know what the going price is but mine was just under 400us which i was ok with. It's a small price to pay for the amount of enjoyment i see myself getting from building and running what has been a long time favorite of mine.

Wildwillydriver - great to here your DS is still getting raced, could you post up some more info about it?

I've been trying to get my hands on a Dynastorm runner for a long time now and they are not necessarily rare, but I find that people who have them don't want to let them go. As you know, these are great cars eve by today's standards. This car was based off the fabled TRF 211X, which itself heavily poached the Super Astute. I believe that only the relative lack of replacement parts, compared to say an Associated, Losi, or Kyosho, prevent this car from being widely raced at the club level. Enjoy your Dynastorm!

Take a regular look on the German Ebay (but don't tell anyone else) Usually there is at least one on auction of a Dyna, and a good condition runner or even a shelfer can at the right time and at the right time (or for the seller all wrong) be bought for under 100 euros - at other times you'll have to pay up to 150-160 euros for a shelfer which is still reasonable considering what a cool car you're getting!

Spare parts can be a problem - especially their price, so it's by far the easiest to just buy a second one if you need several rare spare parts - like for example the suspension blocks or for example the mainshaft of the slipper clutch (I actually never saw one for sale seperately).

I'm still trying to get in contact with Nimrod Racing and get at least get an order for myself to finish my hopped up Dyna Lightning - and hopefully start the whole thing up again. However, As I am doing a study as a designer, they have the tools for both making moulds and injection moulding - I will try to make it happen to start my own little production line of parts, but I really don't know yet if I can make it happen :P
