i like sport tuned motors, they will not "dazzle you with speed" but they are a nice upgrade to the silver can. they last forever just like the silver can.

i'd take a sport tuned over a cheap "modified" motor any day.

for example i have a brand new 19t venom fireball, the sport tuned will run circles around it.

Black can Sport Tuned are my #1 upgrade. I hardly ever use silver cans.

The Sport tuned can surprise you sometimes if you have a well built car with very free wheeling ball bearings and gears.

Can be faster than you expect! I have a Sport Tuned in my Buggy champ, and it's geared with the lowest gearing.

Here's the vid of it on the beach. No sped up video either (although there is a lot of slow motion). Real speed with Sport Tuned and lowest gearing.

Great video, Skottoman :D

Smegs, I also get good performance out of the Sport Tuned in my 2WD cars. Ball Bearings is must. Sometimes I run them on 3s LiPo, and then they act almost like brushless :-)

On the subject of Srb motors I have a Tamiya Super Stock TZ I want to run in my Sand Scorcher but when its fitted there is very little room around the brush hoods and the brush leads touch the gearbox housing. I'm worried this will short something out. Has anybody fitted on of these motors or similar?

Is this motor worth getting RS540 Sport Tuned.

Yes, got one in my Sandscorcher goes like a rocket.

Great for on the beach on fine sand as long as you don"t stop its like jetpropulsion. ;)
