Experts Help On Astute Hop Up Hi-cap Dampers Rebuilt

Hi,

I have a complete set F&R on my Astute and i'm looking for advice on what kind of oil seal i have to use to rebuilt them, the o-rings are easy to find as they are always the same but it's not the same for the Oil seal that seats under the shock cap.

I don't want to buy all the Tamiya damper bags to find the correct one, they all look similar but there are differences and with the wrong ones you have a shock that leak.....

If someone can point me on the right direction i'd appreciate!

I would just measure the damper dia. where the cap will be located and see if the oil seal will fit by either checking with the shop owner or measure the cap. I think use those white plumber tape makes an even better seal + seal.

I've read in this thread that MB13 part No 9805486 is usable, I have bought some but as yet have not tried them.

p.s. I would read most of that page.

Yup. The red bladders from the CVA dampers work perfectly. I run them on my hopped up Vanquish.
