Naughty names [ Rated 15 ]

Ok, I'll probably get suspended from this board for this, but I just got to bring this up:

Let's talk about the controversial names Tamiya has used to describe their car parts (and how they sometimes are listed on eBay). Here's some examples:

- used screw bags (or A screw bag, never opened)

- 3mm nuts

- c-ring

- uprights

Yeah, dropping your nuts or breaking an upright used to cause much hilarity when I was younger (obviously I'm much more mature now).

I always thought Tamiya would have sold more Tamtechs in the UK if they hadn't called the batteries 'Tampacks'

Clearly, thre are three types of enthusiast here:

1. Those who think their Willy's belong in a box.

2. Those who like to look at their Willy's but are afraid to use them.

3. Those who will happily play with their Willy's in the street.

And how about Masking seal prior to painting? Who wants to put a mask on a seal? Those animals look silly enough without one... And painting one would make Greenpeace *******ed of... (Don't think I'm not an animal lover because I said al this ) I really thoght I'd have to go to Seaworld and get me a seal before I could paint my Ferrari 360 body... LOL
