What happened to the Scorcher differential????

What ever happened about the ball/gear differential that people were attempting to design/find/make? I know this discussion is fairly old but there may have been some development...

The parts are all spread out on my desk. Someday I will get back to it, just way to busy right now.

Hey snollan, have you got a geared diff?

I remember the brass (i think it was brass) geared one that 'Nodis' or 'Thorpe' made. It weighed a ton!! So much for getting the rotating mass down!!

I've got a couple bags of metal gears for it, and some parts from other tamiya kits that I'm playing with. I know that the magical tamiya used me in more than one car part is out there somewhere.

Hi Guys

All my prevoius SS had the solid back axle but I got another two SS today. They were used for racing by the previous owner.

The interesting part is the one DEFENITELY has a diff in it (Turn one wheel to the front - the other reverses!! So I quite tickled buy what is IN THE GEARBOX.

Im just finishing two Aeromaxxes im building for my LHS then that gearbox will get opened with photos!!! Its in the red SS on my showroom!!

WOW. always wanted a diff since i started collecting. I wish i had that. Still you never know when you may find one

Anyone here ever deal with the Bruiser guys who CNC parts for the 3 speeds?? I wonder how much it would be for a ball diff for a racing buggy?
