http://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?...7&hl=cty300

Although it was resolved, it is still not acceptable to me. If a seller walks over a tamiyaclub member, I dont buy from them, period. There is other sellers out there that take pride in their

sales and realise their customers are their business. Especially Stella Models, you can tell by the quality in the salesmanship and the packaging, that the kitset means as much to him as it does to you ;)

All my OE kits are bought from Stella Models (also a club sponsor!) and sometimes I buy parts from dinball/rcmart (free shipping and sharp prices are addictive!).

Its still not resolved :D

Even though my creditcard company refunded him half his monies back via a chargeback paypal as of 30th October have limited / blocked my wife's paypal account and want us to send the kit or what is left of it back to CTY300 we are fighting it by sending letters to Consumer Affairs,ACCC,Federal Police (As Paypal is attempting to de-fraud us) ,Ombudsman ,Local and state members of parliment .

So not only does CTY300 have half the refund he still wants the kit back as well and has informed paypal of this.

CTY300 is still being an idiot.

I had had to block him from my email list as I was getting abbusive emails from him .

Avoid CTY300 he knows he rips you off but does not care !!!

Thanks for the heads up Stuart. That sounds like a nightmare to deal with. I hope it can be fully resolved. I won;t give him any business because of it , that is for sure.

Jr-Rc is who I buy basically most of my little supply needs from. Also a handful of sellers in the UK are always top notch. Answer my questions, combine shipping, etc.

-For stickers, rims, parts bags, "Europro975" UK

-motor set-up parts, Out of production tires and anti-wear grease "Jr-rc" Japan

-Foam bumpers "Rc_mega_outlet" USA

-Hilux Truck, locally

-TT-01 car, Ebay, used

Jr-Rc has everything and then some. Europro975 has rare parts, screws, rims, etc. and is very helpful with things. He doesn;t sell kits though, mostly parts. Those guys to me are the "stores" I trust. The other few things i have bought, I check the sellers feedback, and if it is low, or has even a few blemishes, I weigh my options. I don;t mind paying a few extra, if it is from Jr-RC, or Europro975, as I know they are top notch.

Hopefully that can be of some help!

Sorry to hear Stu :) I was meant to put a link in my previous post to Erichs crushed body shell under the reference to 'resolved', but I am not suprised to hear that the scum cty300 is still trying to rip you off.

It is sad to hear he is trying to make you accountable for something he did wrong! I wish you all the best with the outcome mate, this guy is a meathead.

The one problem with Dinball is if they're out of stock of an item, they give you 'store credit' instead of a refund - not much use if you just sunk your last servo $$ on a servo they're not getting for 4 weeks.

They are great when they have stock, but it's always worth emailing them just to make sure.

If I remember correctly, you are offered several options in the ordering process on what should happen to back order items. You could probably avoid getting charged for the back order item.

+1 for JR-RC, Stella Models and RCMart/dinball. These are the best overall sellers for price, and they actually take care in packaging their kits, especially Stella and JR-RC. If you care about the kitboxes, these are the sellers to use.

I've ordered from a few other sellers and their packaging has typically been less good, and I've ended up with a few squished boxes. I did recently get a couple of kits from captain.hobby, and while they were packed well in cardboard, the kit boxes were a bit battered. But the kits were very cheap and I plan to build them anyway so it was OK.

I've ordered from RC.mushroom too, and while my experience in terms of delivery time was fine and the kit was well packed, it was a little shelf worn with one dinted bottom corner. But it appeared to be their last one in stock, and was cheap, so again that was fine.

Some HK sellers have been known to use only brown paper to pack their kitboxes, which is not good...

Has anybody used Vellrip before. They are another store with an Ebay store and their own website, both seem well stocked. Looks like they are based in Singapore. I just ordered some new wheels and spare suspension parts for my TRF201 from them. I will update on there service when my order arrives.

I've bought from Vellrip a few times and never a problem with the item or the service.

I brought a M05 on ebay from one of the major RC car suppliers. I track for price and get a feel for best / average buy price including postage charges, buyer feedback etc before i buy. I had previously brought spares out of the UK for the Terra Conqueror (easier then our 'friends' toy traders), and it was all good. The problem I encountered was I wanted a M03 mini and bid - a buy it now, but they had no stock, even though they listed it (thats how I ended up with the M05). There was 3 emails back and forth about offering another car, eventually i agreed to pay $9 extra to get the M05. I was very skeptical about this. The car did arrive and it was all good. But it made me very cautious about buying again from that particular ebayer again. But all considered I have over 200 transactions on ebay and 1 can only remember 1 where I got ripped off, lucky it was for only 15 bucks. I have had the wrong gear shipped to me, like a ESC that got turned into a helicopter signal booster, which I sent back and got sent the right ESC. All of it very civil and good.
