There is an australian guys that sells some really nice hornet body replicas (no wings though) on ebay. Manufacturer is frewer, price is approx $17.

The knoby tires are hard to find for these are shared with other famous models and you will have to fight against people that are ready to invest $300 in their cars. You may consequently have to make it do with aftermarkets ones such as CRP tires, or the Tamiya RC Boys tires, that are a re-release of the rough rider tires (same rims as hornet).

im currently restoring a hornet and the price of rear tyres is way to much for a runner, i have a set of crp tires, not the same quality but look much the same. Best bet is to check out US ebay for aftermarket rubber.

Btw the last hornet body set i noticed went for £42

The tires that came with The Hornet were the same as the ones first used on the Super Champ. Super Champ tires used Sand Scorcher wheels, and Sand Scorcher wheels have a smaller diameter and wider than Rough Rider wheels. Accordingly the RC Boy's off-road tires, which are rereleased Rough Rider tires, won't fit on the Hornet (and Super Champ) wheels. Also, The wheels that come with the RC Boy's off-road tires are one-piece type for hex hubs.

Hornet/SC wheels are more famously known as "Frog" fitments... [:0]
