hiya greg, just checked roughly on our royal mail and parcel force websites for a box roughly 10kg to the usa, and royal mail with a tracked service and compensation value of £200 is £113 and parcel force for a similar service is £269, i cant believe the prices, thats just crazy, but i will only send with a tracked and insured service as things have gone missing in the past and ended up being without cash nor the item i sold.

Nice thank you! I completely understand! It's better safe than sorry on things, and I use tracking too. I ordered a few pairs of foam body protectos, just a few GBP's, waited a few weeks nothing, seller sent me the tracking, and to both our disbeliefs, it has been held up in one location for over two weeks. I live about an hour drive from the seller, so he says, np, and sent me a new set. But, it's better to be safe on things. I'll keep it in mind. I am watching the auction right now.

Have you tried the likes of interparcel.com? I never use royal mail due to the high prices (high perhaps because international larger parcels might not be their core business). Interparcel give you access to multiple couriers and offer competitive international shipping with whatever insurance level you want, plus they pick up from your address. Might be worth a look.

thanks for the heads up, checked and got it down to a starting price of £103 but with only £50 transit cover, it may be cheaper but not greatly.
