I finished off my re-re Hornet this weekend, and I had forgotten what a blast these are to drive. It seems even quicker with the ESC you get now, and was popping wheelies all round the house on its test run!

I haven't forgotton how these can destroy bodies though (especially the rear wing), so as well as the new body I have repaired an old racing body from my original Hornet. This will be used for bashing, while the new body can sit pretty when it is parked up inside.....

Back in from it's first real run. First impressions;

It's quick - just the standard motor with full ball races added, but it shifts!

It handles nicely. The suspension certainly works better than the newer (but cheaper) Rising Fighter's does on a very similar chassis.

It is massive fun - a real "boy-racer" of a buggy!

The undertray to the battery area still pops in some situations - will look at way of securing that.

Oh, it's a good job I did make up a basher-body too !! ;O)

A single screw through the tab of the battery cover solves this.

I really like this blue one. One thing I'm wondering about is how would the roof tolerate a rollover if the windows were cut off? Then again, all three cars look awesome!

Thanks - it does it good, but really is patched together.

The pillars have been beefed up (with match sticks glued to the inside of them) partly for extra strength, and partly because one was snapped!
