Recommend Me A Nimh Stick Battery

Got a new Rising Storm for the boy for Xmas - it came with something like a 1900MAh battery, which isn't goping to last too long running a 540 motor. I'm also restoring a few ebay purchases, all will run 540 sport tuned or Ansmann 21T motors.

So i'm going to need more 7.2V stick packs - there's a whole host of them out there, but i'll be limited to 3800MAh max by using a ACX1 charger.

What's a good compromise between run time and charge time ?

Are there any makes better than others (HPI Plasma, Orion etc) ?

I've seen 2 x 3800MAh ones on ebay for £14 delivered, obviously cheaper chinese manufactured ones (lime green wrapping), which seems too good to be true, and probably is!

Vapextech cells appear to be ok. I have used one, and I know others have with know problems.

The lime green stuff is a lottery. Some or ok, some are junk.

I'd recommend the Vapextech 3700mah packs myself (£15.50 each, posted), or the 3300mah packs (which obviously don't last quite as long, but are cheaper at £12.95 posted)

i will recommend vapextech too, had loads of these and always been really good for there price tag.

Vapextech batteries are great - I still race with my 3300mah and they have been through h3ll and high water (literally!) in the last 3 years and one of them is still my "honkiest" pack that I choose when I need that extra punch for a final

Thanks all for the responses - ordereda couple of Vapextech 3300MAh sticks last night, bit cheaper on their own website than via their ebay shop.

3300 should give me decent run times. Hoping for 5-10 minutes quicker charge time over a 3700 stick which could be handy over Xmas !!
