I feel your pain brother. I HATE painting and decaling. It always seems like this will be the time when everything goes right. It isn't.

It may be a cop out, but I enjoy finding factory finished box art shells, or paying someone else to do a really good custom job so I don't get angry every time I see one of my botched paint jobs.

I have done a few that I am very proud of though and they are quite unique - just enough to lure me into foolishly trying again and screwing it up.

My defense has become simplicity. I've come to love single colors with very few decals. Problem solved. :)

The bummer was it was a single colour :) Anyway its not as bad as i feared this morning, taken all the bits off and windows out and hopefully just sanding the top coat off will do seeing as it wasnt laquered.

It`ll teach me to read build manuals first because if i had i would have noticed i could glued the body and the wheelarches together first then sprayed it as a job lot!!! Never mind though its all good in the end

+1 hate that. Was painting the roof of my Buggy Champ the other day, three colours, all perfect. Came back to it later to check on it while the last colour was drying, a big black chunk of grit stuck in the paint. Tried to fix it, painted a bit more and got a paint run. I did let a few choice words go...

Well its going to have to go back to the bare plastic so anyone know the best way to remove halfords paint from a body? preferably other than sandpaper

Right.Ive managed to get away with some "carplan" thinners.Dab it on neat with a cotton bud or a sponge and wipe straight off. just leaves a thin smear of old paint colour to be sanded off.I wouldnt recommend leaving it on for more than a couple of seconds though
